Starting with our visit to the grounds of the Parliament building, to the Manitoba Museum and throughout our visit in Churchill we were exposed to the inukshuk.
An inukshuk can have several meanings. It is used as a guidepost, pointing which direction to travel. It has been used to mark places of historic and ceremonial importance. The Inuits also used inuksuit (plural form) to help them hunt caribou, building inuksuit in a V-shaped configuration and driving a herd into the open end, forcing them together as they came out the end of the V.
