National Park Service Senior Pass

I knew there was something good about turning 62.

During a recent stop in St. Augustine, Florida (more on that later), we visited the Castillo de San Marcos. As we approached the admittance booth, we were wondering how much it would cost to enter the fort.

We then saw that it was a National Monument under the U.S. National Park Service and, YES, I could get my NPS Senior Pass.

For U.S. citizens (or permanent residents) over 62, the Senior Pass is a ONE TIME fee of $10. The pass admits me and passengers in a private vehicle at places that charge a per vehicle fee or me and up to 3 adults at sites that charge a per person fee. And this pass is good for the rest of my life!!!

What a deal!!!
